The Spread Eagle is a pub / restaurant situated in a picturesque valley just off Darwen Road in scenic Bromley Cross just outside Bolton. The local area boasts beautiful countryside, peaceful waterways, and neighbours a historical conservation area of caringly restored industrial revolution textile mills. Other local amenities include a cricket club and children's park, while the pub itself is nestled in the heart of suburbia on a quiet street overlooking the valley of Eagley / Threadfold Way.
Boasting a fantastic menu comprising of a great variety of traditional pub dishes, curry favourites and Italian cuisine, the Spread Eagle has a stalwart reputation for excellence in service, presentation and taste, including our famous hand-cut chips complementing all of the above. Set in a serene environment accessible for all ages, friendly staff will ensure your enjoyment either in our spacious seating areas or sun-drenched beer garden, and kids will find a plethora of entertainment so you can truly relax and take in the unique atmosphere.
The Spread Eagle however doesn't stop at the pinnacle of outstanding food service; we are also the premier location for watching your favourite sports in the glowing comfort of one of three giant flat-screen televisions. We show every single premier league match of our beloved Bolton Wanderers each year, including games across the world, the UEFA Champions League, FA and League Cups. Fans of other great north-west football teams will be delighted to know we show a generous amount of live coverage for Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City across the weekend too, where all footballing addicts can share in their love of the sport and express their opinions in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
